COUPLES RESPONSIBILITY GAME By Bill and Pam Farrell (Watch, then score)

Listen to the above podcast. Then Find below a list of life’s responsibilities. Kindly grade them separately. Give to your spouse to grade too. Then compare! For all issues, your grade should be either 1 or 2 or 3.

1.       = It is very important to me                2.   = It is important to me, though not a main focus
                                           3.  = If it gets done, that’s fine. If it doesn’t, no sweats

Couples should score differently. After scoring, compare your grades with your spouses’
A.  Which things are ranked the same? You are less likely to argue over those areas.
B.  Which areas have the greatest differences? (Like yours is a 1 and your spouse’s a 3). You’ll have to negotiate in these areas. They are HOT SPOTS!

In negotiating, keep in mind that you don’t have to do all those responsibilities. Some can be delegated to house helps/keepers; your children can also do some so they can grow into responsible adults. But you’ll need to supervise them.
